The newly-appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Hungary Ashot Smbatyan handed over his credentials to the President of Hungary H.E. Ms. Katalin Novák

On June 13 the newly-appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Hungary Ashot Smbatyan handed over his credentials to the President of Hungary H.E. Ms. Katalin Novák. President Novák congratulated Ambassador Smbatyan on his appointment and wished success in his mission.

At a tête-à-tête meeting following the ceremony Ambassador Smbatyan and President Novák had an exchange of views on Armenian-Hungarian relations and the prospects of development of bilateral cooperation in various fields.

Historical ties between the Armenian and Hungarian peoples and the importance of activation of contacts between the two societies was discussed.
