The visit of the Ambassador of Armenia to Hungary to Sopron

On July 25 the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Hungary Ashot Smbatyan was received by the President of the City Council of Sopron, Deputy Mayor Mr. Szabolcs Csiszár. The famous sculpture of Sargis Baghdasaryan symbolizing the Armenian-Hungarian friendship is situated in Sopron.

At the meeting the parties touched upon the need of activization of cooperation between Armenia and Hungary in different spheres. Opportunities for the establishment of decentralized cooperation between the cities of the two countries were discussed, the importance of taking joint steps in this direction was emphasized.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Nikoghos Hakobyan, Member of the Parliament of Hungary, Representative of Armenian Self-government, and Mr. Davit Ter-Mkrtchyan, the Third Secretary of the Embassy.
